What is ABA Therapy? Does My Child Need ABA Therapy?
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a scientifically proven method of working with children with Autism.
ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning. If you have a child diagnosed with autism or notice early signs of autism they may benefit from ABA therapy.
What is your new patient procedure? How Do I Enroll?
1. Diagnosis of Autism is necessary (Call if not currently diagnosed but need assistance)
2. Referral from A Dr. for your child to receive ABA Therapy (prescription)
3. We conduct an assessment to determine how much therapy is appropriate for your child
4. We submit to the insurance form approval
How long does it take for therapy to start?
Each insurance is different, but on average 2-4 weeks is the enrollment process
What ages do you accept?
Ages 2-12
How much will my copayment be?
Each insurance is different and each plan is different. Copayment depends on deductible, out of pocket max, and other factors. We work with our families to determine their financial responsibility prior to services starting.
Is ABA Therapy A School?
No. Although some of the deficits of Autism effect school related things. ABA Therapy focuses on what is significant to the child's development and independence. Some tasks involved in ABA may include reading, numbers, colors, etc. ABA is Therapy is designed to help children with Autism as an individual.
